![]() Guess my real complaint is with Honda in general. What happened to their great service and reputation? Will add that the service reps are just middle men- deliver the bad news as it were. I actually trusted this dealership when I brought my car to them. This will be my last, and expensive visit to Showcase Honda. HE tried to explain all this rhetoric to me. And yes I did question Troy, my service rep.Really, isn't a repair a service? Told my service rep, Troy. ![]() So my complaint is- although we all know dealerships charge more, but ultimately they perform- get what you pay for - Why is honda not backing up their product? I was also told that the coupon I had was for service 15% off of any service.did not include repairs? Am I from Another planet? Was not specified in the writing of the mailer sent to my address. as you can tell, I don't drive to far every day based on mileage. Nickel and Diming hoping no one notices I guess because I did have big expenses with that visit that would probably be normal -training, rear axels etc. Said Honda only responsible for 90%.want me to pay $7.00 a year for the warranty!! In the first place I had no trouble with my locks until that recall, then they replaced them. Was told I need a new door lock, they would do it through recall but not give me a warranty. Hope they didn't screw up the air bags too!! Today took car in for 60,000 service, (car at 60,511 miles) and asked them to check trouble with door locks. Well we all get busy, so I just put up with crazy locks. Called dealership and was told it was normal. Picked up car and noticed weird stuff going on with locks as I drove. Was told air bags and door locks were recalled, and that they could service those on this visit. Took car- 2007 CRV purchased through Showcase Honda Phoenix 85016 in 2016 for oilĬhange- have only used this location for service. Search YouTube for this problem, some good videos there that will help you get a feel of what needs to be done. ![]() insert new unit and proceed in reverse order (minus the smashing) transfer inside handle cables from old unit to the new one release the rod at the top where it connects to the outside door handle An impact screwdriver might be required, these are very tight, be careful not to strip them. Once you smashed the right part, door should unlock. smash the lock/latch plastic unit/box using flat tip screwdriver and a hammer, being careful to stay clear of the area where the cables/links from inside handle go in (aim for the silver round latch if you can, study the new part for indications of where you need to chip away). unscrew and pop out and disconnect the inside door panel (carefully, start at the bottom, interior trim tools help) Driver side door actuator failed completely to the point where you couldn't open in from inside nor outside.
